Peace Development
Mission & Vision

What we work toward

  • Promote interfaith dialogue rooted in shared Abrahamic heritage
  • Build cooperative platforms among Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities
  • Advance joint initiatives for peace, education, and development
  • Counter narratives that exaggerate division between Abrahamic traditions
  • Encourage joint civic and humanitarian action across faith lines
Vision

A world where the shared Abrahamic heritage of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam is a foundation for cooperation rather than conflict — where communities of faith stand together for peace, dignity, and the development of all people.

Our Story

A shared root, too often obscured

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam trace their lineage to a common ancestral figure, Abraham, and share overlapping ethical traditions of justice, charity, and peace. Rooted in Unity began with a simple conviction: that shared inheritance should be a bridge, not a footnote.

The initiative grew out of work led by a journalist and advocate with over two decades of experience at the intersection of media, minority rights, and community development — including programs supporting women and children through literacy, healthcare access, shelter, and vocational training.

Based in Houston, Texas, one of the most religiously diverse cities in the country, Rooted in Unity now applies that same principle of dignity through opportunity to the relationship between Abrahamic faith communities — building toward cooperation, not coexistence alone.

“Cooperation, not coexistence alone, is what builds lasting peace.”
