AMMWEC Celebrates Sunbul Ahadi’s Internship at the Eisenhower Institute
The Afghan American Gettysburg College student was honored at the Institute’s end-of-internship reception, alongside young leaders from across South Asia.
AMMWEC is honored to welcome Sunbul Ahadi, an Afghan American student from Gettysburg College, as an intern through the Eisenhower Institute — and delighted to celebrate her success at the Institute’s end-of-internship reception.
The reception brought together young people from Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh — a gathering AMMWEC President Anila Ali described as feeling like a “young United Nations.”

Anila Ali is a civil rights advocate and educator who heads the American Muslim and Multifaith Women Empowerment Council (AMMWEC). Her work seeks to empower female leadership, promote religious freedom, and counter violent extremism.
